The Oxford Street Party
For the fifth consecutive year, The Oxford Street Party held in Rockhampton will host some of Australia's hottest acts.
Indie folk-rock band and Triple J favourites Boy & Bear, Sydney-based electro lunatics Bluejuice and chart-topping Aussie hip hop artist Drapht will take the stage on December 30, alongside street party favourites the Stafford Brothers and a contingent of local artists
After sold-out crowds for the last four years organisers are pleased to announce some exciting changes in 2011! For the first time in 2011, the Oxford Street Party will be a 16+ event allowing a younger crowd to engage with the amazing live acts on offer. The event will also be moved to a new location to be held under a big top tent at Victoria Park on the River.
Taking place on Friday the 30th of December this gathering of sounds will be sure to put the taste of summer in your mouth with some of Australia’s best live and dj acts rocking the lid off Central Queensland.

Boy & Bear and Drapht own the Arias!
The highlight of the Australian music year was held on Sunday night, and Oxford Street Party headliners Boy & Bear and Drapht proved their street cred. both picking up impressive awards.
Boy & Bear were definitely the stand out for the entire night taking home five Aria awards for their debut album Moonfire! That's one each for each band member! Their awards included Best Group and Best Album. When asked on the red carpet how they felt, lead man Dave Hosking said "...We are completely grateful and to be frank it's a privilege to be playing music for a living and we don't forget that. We just love what we do"
Not to be left out, Drapht took home Best Urban Album for The Life of Riley.
